ZAP
Making an impact. Advertising. Film & Motion. Telecom.

The home fairy who makes everyone say ‘Já há net!’ (There’s internet!) in every room of the house.

Resume.

As part of the ‘Move the family!’ concept, the ‘Janet’ campaign was created to communicate the launch of the new ZAP Mesh Wifi router, with the promise of having internet everywhere in the house, without fail. It created an iconic character for the brand and Angolans.

Context.

ZAP was expanding its fibre optic network to new geographical areas around Luanda. Focused on maintaining its leadership position, it was necessary to reposition ZAP Fibre.

In response to this, Born developed the ‘Moves the family’ territory. A communication concept materialised in 3 different campaigns where state-of-the-art technology and the best range of content materialise ZAP's promise to be the leading player in bringing more entertainment to Angolan families.

Challenge.

As part of the ‘Move the family!’ concept, ZAP wanted to communicate the launch of the new ZAP Mesh WiFi router, with the promise of having internet everywhere in your home, without fail.

Concept.

The promise - “with ZAP Fibre's new Mesh WiFi, now there's internet everywhere in the house” - inspired us to create Janet. This campaign tells the story of Janet, the friendly home fairy from a very large house, who manages to solve the problem of the Wi-Fi signal not reaching all rooms and makes the whole family shout, ‘There's internet!’ (“Já há net”, which sounds like Janet). With this campaign, Janet became a famous character in Angola and was talked about by all the Angolan media.

Janet makes everyone say
"Já há net!".
