During the COVID-19 pandemic, when people couldn't gather in closed spaces, Zap Cinemas challenged us to create a new way to connect with people.
What if nobody had to leave their safety bubble? Based on this insight, we created a never-before-seen concept in Angola: “Go to the cinema without getting out of the car.” This innovative drive-in cinema experience gave Zap Cinemas a new theatre with a large screen. Audiences got to revisit their favourite blockbusters and share a communal experience safely.
To increase the action’s impact and strengthen the public’s relationship with Zap, we created an integrated campaign, developing the activation’s visual identity along with a film, radio, press, posters, and digital assets
In a context where all brands were looking for innovative solutions, Zap stood out in the Angolan media and was featured in the Best Ads on TV and Ads of the World. Most importantly, we brought Luandans back to the cinema.
