Symbolises Mota-Engil’s diversification from construction to real estate development, aiming to establish itself as a significant player.

The Mota-Engil Group's entrepreneurship was renewed once again, this time to enter the real estate sector with our collaboration. We created the naming and visual identity for this new company and business. Emerge is a solution provider for differentiating and transformative projects with an impact on society and the planet.

Challenge.

Founded in 1946, the Mota-Engil Group is a multinational with activity focused on the construction and management of infrastructures segmented by the areas of Engineering and Construction, Environment and Services, Transport Concessions, Energy and Industrial Engineering Services, with presence in 23 countries, divided into 3 geographical regions - Europe, Africa and Latin America.
With plans to diversify its activity into the real estate development sector, the Group contacted us to create the name and visual identity that would give body to this vertical.

This new identity needed to resonate with Mota-Engil's commitment to quality and sustainability, embrace 330 Mota-Engil projects under one management brand, incorporate the latest trends in real estate and stand out in both local and international markets.

Emerge's strategic insight was rooted in understanding the shifting real estate landscape, where sustainability and quality have become paramount.

Immersion.

Since the new company was deeply rooted in the leaders’ vision, we worked collaboratively with a senior core team to build the vision for the brand. Beginning with a thorough understanding of the history and legacy of Mota-Engil, we addressed the major challenges of the project and the industry, identified key stakeholders and their roles in the value chain, and gained insight into the significant differences between operating in construction and real estate development.

Naming.

After a study of the sector and a collaborative process, including working sessions with the Mota Engil team responsible for the project, our team presented the name Emerge, which was chosen.
Emerge integrates the acronym ME (for Mota-Engil) and the symbolism inherent to a business that develops projects and buildings of different types of use in the real estate sector. It also symbolises Mota-Engil emerging into a new business domain.

The identity was built as if it were a building or volumetric form.

Visual Identity.

The identity was built as if it were a building or volumetric form, reinforcing the brand’s connection to architecture and real estate development. It is structured so that the brand itself appears to be emerging, much like the projects it represents.

The company’s commitment to environmental responsibility heavily influenced the colour scheme, which uses tones that reflect natural elements, sustainable practices and the vibrant new energy that the Group is bringing to the market.
